The application period for this Pathway to Employment is now closed.

Opportunity: This Chicago Career Tech corporate-based pathway to employment gives participants the opportunity to receive training in healthcare IT, networking, and database administration to prepare them for one of several technical support positions with Allscripts.  After eight weeks of training, participants will be considered for a full-time job with Allscripts.

In partnership with City Colleges of Chicago, participants will receive four weeks of training in healthcare  IT skills, followed by up to four weeks of role-specific training to prepare them for employment with on one of Allscripts’ technical support teams.

Jobs upon Completion: Upon completion of the eight-week training program, participants will be considered for one of the following positions with Allscripts:

  • Help Desk Support Services
  • Enterprise EHR team support
  • Senior Performance Support Consultant
  • Windows Systems Engineer

Pre-requisites:

  • Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s preferred
  • Customer service experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Operating System
  • 2+ years of SQL and database administration experience
  • Some work experience in Information technology, including networking

Program timeframe: Beginning in late March; up to 8 weeks
