Pre-Requisites:
- High School Diploma/GED required, Associate’s degree preferred
- Some prior coding knowledge/coursework helpful
- Solid familiarity and comfort with computer (any operating system)
- Familiarity with smartphones/tablets. Access to devices not necessary, but recommended
- Familiarity with Mac OS
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
- Reading comprehension and mathematical acumen recommended
Training timeframe: Beginning in late May 2012; up to 24 weeks

Course description: Mobile Programming training is designed for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in the growing market of mobile computing devices. Because of the tremendous growth of mobile technologies, skilled application developers and programmers are in huge demand. In this course, participants will learn best practices for mobile technology development on smartphones and tablets. This course will show participants how to get started in application development, from idea conception to releasing the app to the market. The course has been designed to train participants who do not have any background in computer programming, and will train students on the fundamentals of programming languages. This course will place special emphasis on the hands-on approach, and will include extensive lab exercises which are carefully designed to impart the relevant skills in the shortest amount of time. As part of the course, participants will develop their own complete applications – and even publish them in App Store – the ultimate test of professional applications.
